Lola Jones is
a spiritual teacher with a worldwide audience. She gets people happy very quickly. She's also a Renaissance woman who writes books, paints, sings and records original music, makes videos and graphics, and more, defying stereotypes and romping happily in the fields of her own creations. Lola does whatever The Presence moves her to do that day.

Lola Jones with her Uncle Louis Born in Texas in 1954, her Tennessee-born mom named her Bobbie Sue. Her family started out in a tiny two bedroom frame house on a dirt road, but somehow managed to get her a pony, Star Baby, for her ninth birthday, about the time their street got paved. many horses later, at sixteen, she traded the horse for a Ford Mustang, and soon moved to Austin, because it was happenin'.

After putting herself through college and earning her Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas in 1977, over the next thirty years she evolved into a  creative but practical person, starting several successful businesses from scratch with zero capital. The focus on giving service that she developed early on would help in her many careers. Sometimes she calls those diverse careers "my many lives in this body."

As a Jazzercise franchise owner in her twenties, she discovered a natural gift for motivating and changing people's lives -- without even trying. She quickly rose to leadership in that organization, and was among the top ten instructors out of 4000 franchisees worldwide. Six times a week she led a hundred happy people at a time in dance celebration, and that was pretty much all the "work" she did for eleven years.  She added something to fill her abundant free time: hairstyling provided variety, artistic expression, creativity, closer contact with people, and fun during the daytime. Hair stylists are known for being confidants or even informal counselors and uplifters, and from it she learned about customer care, soothing, and uplifting.

Motivational speaking and corporate training came next. For fifteen years Lola was a successful full time consultant and contract trainer for such clients as IBM, the State of Texas, and GMAC Finance. There were always powerful spiritual principles imbedded in the courses, and people's lives transformed. She also taught public spiritual and personal development courses during that period. Lola has always made her living doing her passions, andLola Jones creator of Divine Openings she's been self-employed and inner guided most of her life.

At left is Lola in her full time corporate consulting days. Wow, that was another life! (She still owns that suit, why she's not sure.) She rarely does Corporate Training now, as it's taken a back seat to Divine Openings, Divine Art, and music. A company that is willing to present Divine Openings at full potency could perhaps persuade her to come in.

She used to say, "Oh, I'll be an artist when I'm an old lady." But so many kinds of creativity wanted expression as The Presence began flowing more freely through her. When the economic disruption of September 11, 2001 dipped the training market, Lola was tired of "talking" anyway, and eventually took a year and a half off to paint. That marked the beginning of the most powerful, intuitive, and feminine stage of her life. She dived deep into the silence and painted large canvases, often not leaving her beloved ten acre City View Ranch for a week at a time (until she ran out of food). Painting and writing prolifically got her very happy and refreshed. Much of the art you see on this site was done between 2004 and 2007.

At 51, she began signing paintings "Lola", and the nickname stuck, because "what Lola wants, Lola gets," and she no longer uses Bobbie.  Her artwork has been shown in Sedona and Flagstaff, Arizona, Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Austin, Texas.

In a deeper dive into the mystery, Lola spent 21 days in blessed silence in India, speaking to no human, only to The Divine Presence within, totally changing her life from there forward. "The most difficult part? Talking again!" she says. During that 21 days she received a dramatically enhanced ability to initiate enlightenment, heal, resolve practical life issues, and end suffering. Her world instantly shifted to an entirely new dimension of service, power, joy, and creativity.

The work quickly evolved into Divine Openings. Simply being in her presence is to be splashed with a shower of Grace and tangible energy. Lola possesses an extraordinary ability to wake up the Divine Presence in other people, triggering the unfolding of enlightenment. This still amuses her, since she is an ordinary, fallible human being who mowed her own fields, fixed fences, and cleans her own house in one aspect of life, and is a powerful force worldwide in another aspect.

Spiritual enlightenment through Divine Openings with Lola JonesAs a child, she told her mom she'd have animals everywhere when she grew up. That dream too came true at her previous haven, City View Ranch in Austin, Texas.

Now she lives up overlooking the Ojai Valley at "hawk's eye level" at her Ojai Oasis, and gives retreats there, as well as in beautiful international locations.

Lola creates commissioned works of art for clients who want the stunning beauty and Divine Energy of her art in their homes or workplaces, when she has time, sells large prints.

At 55, Lola began taking singing lessons, and within a year and a half wrote (and co-wrote) and recorded her own original music. She wrote the theme song for the film, Beautiful Faces, made by her love Russell.

Lola's life partner, Russell Martin has been a masterful writer all his life, wrote some best selling books, and still writes books, articles, screen plays, and speeches; but at age 55 he courageously and successfully started making his own films. His first film, Two Spirits, won the Audience Favorite award in PBS's Independent Lens Series in 2011.

Russell's website is http://www.sayyesquickly.net. Take a peek at his newest film, Beautiful Faces, due out in 2013. The name of his company, Say Yes Quickly, was inspired by a Rumi poem. Russell says yes quickly to Life's invitations.
