Graciously hosted for us in a bucolic setting with woods nearby, in a fabulous 15,000 square foot private home. Lunches are provided. Participants may go out to eat dinner together on their own if they wish, ride share, and/or coordinate to share a room nearby.
Location: in Centreville, Delaware (zip code 19807) near Wilmington.
The private address will be provided only to confirmed participants.
It's less than a mile from Buckley’s Tavern,5 812 Kennett Pike Wilmington, DE 19807, so search Buckley’s address to get the general location and help you estimate travel route, google nearby hotels, etc.
If you have any difficulty locating it with an online map system such as MapQuest, use Wilmington as the city rather than Centreville.
A few rooms in the house: There is a very limited number of private rooms available in the home where we’ll be gathering, each with its own bathroom. There is no charge for these rooms, but we suggest you give our hostess whatever amount feels right to you as a “thank-you.” Update: These rooms have all been filled.
Check out the Mendenhall Inn or The Inn at Montchanin Village for nearby hotel options. Or simply Google "hotels in wilmington delaware" or "hotels in Kennett Square Pennsylvania" for a wide range of other options. The site www.bookings.com quickly displayed several nearby options in a variety of price ranges. In general try to stay in Wilmington rather than Newark. (Hotels in Newark might show up on a Wilmington search, but they're likely to be 20 - 40 minutes away from the retreat location.) Kennett Square is also a lovely town and very close to the retreat home. Local residents can, of course, go home on Saturday evening; be sure to have a quiet evening, in solitude if at all possible...a date with the Divine!
